The tundra super is cold its one of the coldest biomes. The tundra comes from Finland the word tunturia means treeless plain. Dead organic material functions as a nutrient pool. Below the top soil the ground is permanently frozen all year round.Tundra is the area of land high in the mountains above the tree line. There are large areas of tundra in northern North America, northern Europe, and northern Asia.

Im sure your mum would be so glad that you wrote her a letter when you were over in the Tundra, she probably let out a sigh of relief!
Well done on explain what the Tundra is to your mum, next time you should write about how you feel being there, what you see, hear and even feel!
