Haiku Poems

I can sleep 100%
Mosquito's eat me like cake
shut the windows now

My dog not small
He is a Goliath dog
he snacks on chickens

Christmas is near me
Present opening is soon
Can't wait till Christmas

  1. Hi Roman!

Your Haiku Poems sure are interesting, especially the first and second one.. where did you even get the ideas for them? Well, I guess my favourite one is the first one because it's funny LOL.

    Aye :)

  2. Kia Ora Roman,

It’s Charlotte again, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. WOW, what great work you have done on the ‘Summer Haiku’ task!

How did you find this activity? I think that Haiku poems are very interesting, did you know that they originated in Japan?

I noticed that you wrote about mosquitoes in your first Haiku, I can definitely relate to this! I find that wherever I go during the summer I always seem to get mosquito bites!

If you want to get even more points for the Summer Learning Journey, you can give the ‘Step it up’ challenge for this activity a go! You can find this using this link. This requires you to create a Screencastify of yourself reading your Haiku from the slidedeck.
