Ingredients:

List the ingredients and how much you need of each item here:

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 ⅓ cups of rolled oats
  • ½ cup of white sugar or raw sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 125 grams butter cubed
  • ¼ cup golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
Instructions:

Give detailed instruction of each step you take to make ANZAC biscuits
  1. First preheat your oven to 150 degrees. Get a baking tray and put baking paper on top.
  2. Get a medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, then get the cinnamon and put it on top of the flour then the rolled oats,coconut and the sugars mix well :)
  3. Combine the butter,golden syrup and water in a small saucepan stir over low-medium heat. Stir till the butter melts. Make sure to make it well combined (also do not make it simmer or boil) once finished pour into dry ingredients. Use a wooden spoon to stir together
  4. Roll 1-2 tablespoons of mixture roll into balls place onto the tray. Put about 5cms apart and use your fingers to push them down or you could get a cup and squash them down with that. Put in the oven for 16 mins chewy 20 mins for crunchy.
  5. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
